Salon Safety Guidelines

Valued Client,

The last few months have been challenging but we couldn’t be happier to open our doors and welcome you back. As you are aware, state and local officials have set forth new requirements and we want to let you know that our salon is reopening in accordance with new safety standards.

We have implemented mandatory changes to help ensure we maintain 6-foot social distancing. As such, we have had to make changes to the schedules of our stylists which may have some impact on your next appointment.

Please make note of our new operating standards so that you are prepared prior to your next scheduled service with us.

NEW OPERATING STANDARDS:

CHECKING IN: We ask that you remain in your car or wait outside until we notify you via phone call or text message that your stylist is ready to see you. Upon checking in your stylist will be doing a temperature check before beginning your appointment. We please ask that you also fill out prior to your appointment the “Client Health Questionnaire” that is available on our website as well as our social media pages. Please email that back to us or your stylist will have one on hand for you to fill out.

FEELING ILL: Upon arrival, we reserve the right to take your temperature before entering the salon. If you’re experiencing any symptoms such as a fever, cough, or sore throat, etc, we are happy to reschedule your appointment for a time when you’re feeling well.

FACE MASKS: Face masks are required for all staff and clients (including a child getting service ages 2 and over). All masks must be fitted with ear loops as they must be worn during all services. No bandanas or cloth coverings tied behind the head will be allowed. If you have forgotten your mask, we have masks available for purchase.

HAND SANITIZER: Hand sanitizer will be available at every station, in the restroom, and at the reception desk.

CLEANING AND SANITIZING: Your stylist is required to sanitize and disinfect all work stations and tools between appointments per state and local guidelines. Please be patient as they take the time to thoroughly clean.

PRODUCT PURCHASES: At this time, should you need products we ask that you call ahead for curbside service. This will allow us to follow the suggested limit of clients inside our salon.

LIMITED GUESTS: Please only ONE CLIENT per service at a time. Individuals without appointments (especially children) are not allowed in the salon unless they have a service scheduled with another stylist. Children/teenagers who have an appointment may be accompanied by an adult but also practicing social distancing.

TRAVELING GUEST: We please ask that you are 15 days removed from your last trip.

ADDITIONAL AMENITIES: For the foreseeable future, we will not be offering beverages, snacks, or reading material. We please ask that the restroom facility be limited as well if your appointment does not exceed over an hour and a half we please ask that you do not use the restroom as it is disinfected after each use.

PERSONAL ITEMS: Please limit the items you carry into the salon to your wallet, phone, and keys.

TRANSACTIONS: Our POS terminal /touchpad is disinfected frequently and if you prefer you may read your card information so that your stylist or the receptionist can manually enter your payment for you.

SOCIAL DISTANCING: It goes without saying that we have missed you! But for the time being, we cannot hug or shake hands. Please know that we are overjoyed to have you back! The Glam shop is lucky to have a great open space and we have taken all measures to make sure that the stations have been separated more then 6ft apart for everyone’s safety.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: With our buisness being shut down due to the circumstances of Covid-19 and facing all the additional cost of supplies to ensure everyone’s safety there will be a Covid-19 surcharge of $5 implemented to your total service charge at the end of your appointment. I please ask to follow up with your stylist as there is an additional charge for over 1 inch outgrown root touch up, it is a one time charge of $20 as we are now going to be using more products for coverage. We are also washing each client that comes in for haircuts, it makes it easier for us to service you without gloves, and washing your hair will help us be able to do that.

We appreciate everyone for waiting for our salon to open up and following the new guidelines for what is now our new normal.

We know these are unusual times but they are temporary. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding while we work to be both accommodating and conscientious of you and our team.
